Who this is for

Edge on.
Edge off.

You work from home. You work hard. Your day is full of screens, meetings, and hours in the same chair. This is for you: an experience to recuperate and turn your attention back to your body.

You want an edge for work and a way to take the edge off when you’re ready. You like getting high, and you don’t always want a drink to unwind. All those hours sitting and working can leave you feeling wound up: tight shoulders, a stiff back, a lower back asking for a change of position. Close the laptop. Get comfortable. Use a blindfold or a dark room, and come down to the floor.

Give yourself room to work out the kinks in your arms, shoulders, upper and lower back, hips, thighs, calves, feet, and hands. Move slowly, use the floor and your own weight, and follow what you feel.

The whole recipe

One practice.
Everything works together.

Slow Yoga brings these parts together into one experience. Each contributes something. Leave a part out, and you lose what it brings.

Slow YogaThe integrated experience
  • Prepare for the experience

Shower. Comfortable clothes. Time and room to settle.

  • Cannabis oil

The product is part of this experience.

  • Quiet the senses

Darkness. A blindfold or a dark room. Reduce sound and interruptions.

  • Get horizontal

Let the floor and gravity support you.

  • Roll and explore

Shift, twist, linger, and follow what you feel.

  • Self-massage

Use your hands, your weight, and the floor.

Following the whole recipe is intended to increase the magnitude of the experience. Prepare for the experience, bring the elements together, and let your body guide what happens on the floor.

Two product options · one practice

Make time for the experience.

Choose your way into the experience. Take the oil earlier and prepare while it develops, or get everything ready before taking Slow Down Now. The preparation and floor practice are the same. The 4 p.m. timeline below is just one example; the experience does not depend on a particular time of day.

Showing the oil approach: the product comes before the preparation.

  1. 4 p.m. example

    Take the oil earlier

Liquid Stretch begins the slower track. Leave time to finish work, eat, shower, and prepare your space before coming down to the floor.

  2. Close out work

    Let the workday end

Close the laptop, leave the meetings behind, and give yourself time for the experience.

  3. Dinner

    Eat and make time

Have dinner and tidy up. A meal with some fat is part of this example. Make time for yourself.

  4. Get comfortable

    Shower and change

Wash off the day and put on comfortable clothes. Feeling clean can make rolling and lingering on the floor more inviting.

  5. Prepare the space

    Make room to move

Clear enough floor space to extend your arms and legs and roll. Keep drafts off you. Settle pets and let others know you’re taking this time, so you can move without sudden interruptions.

  6. Around 8 p.m. example

    Go dark and get horizontal

Get horizontal in darkness, using a blindfold or a dark room. Reduce sound and let the floor support you. Rest, breathe, or begin a slow roll—feel your way in.

  7. 2–3 hours to linger

    Follow that feeling

Roll, twist, shift your weight, and explore. Use your hands, gravity, and the floor for self-massage. Linger, reverse, revisit, or rest. A stable piece of furniture can be a handhold: furniture is your friend. The two-to-three-hour window is room to enjoy the practice, not a rep count or required duration.

These times are one example, not a required schedule. The oil’s longer interval is a planning example; the nano product’s 5–15 minutes is a development target. Final product directions will come with the finished formulation.

The science & the experience

The biohack behind the practice.

You create the pressure and feel the result. A small roll, a change of angle, a little less weight: you can adjust from inside the experience.

Sensory management prepares the setting for that attention. The floor provides support and counterpressure. Slow movement lets you explore what changes. This is the feedback loop at the heart of the practice.

Sensory management

Less outside competition.

Create darkness with a blindfold or a dark room. Close your eyes and quiet interruptions. The aim is to give your body more of your attention.

In one study of 30 adults, distracting sound reduced accuracy on a heartbeat-counting task. In another, 16 adults detected lighter fingertip stimuli with their eyes closed—even in darkness.

Haruki & Ogawa, 2024. Disrupted interoceptive awareness by auditory distractor.Brodoehl et al., 2015. Eye closure enhances dark night perceptions.

Warmth & sound

Make the setting inviting.

Warmth, comfortable clothes, and privacy remove things you would otherwise keep adjusting. Choose quiet or music you enjoy. Sensory management is also about choosing the input you welcome.

A controlled study of 27 adults found that changing dopamine signaling changed pleasure and motivation during music listening. It helps explain music’s rewarding quality; the choice of quiet or music remains yours.

Ferreri et al., 2019. Dopamine modulates the reward experiences elicited by music.

Gravity & body weight

The floor meets you.

Get horizontal and let the floor support your weight. Rolling changes where that weight lands. The firm surface supplies the counterpressure for your self-massage.

Research on standing shows how sight, balance, and body-position signals work together to keep us upright. Lying down removes that standing task: a practical reason for the floor, rather than a measured outcome of this practice.

Peterka, 2002. Sensorimotor integration in human postural control.

Breath & inward attention

Savor the inhale.

Try an easy nasal inhale, at the pace you would use to savor a pleasant scent. Give that familiar sensation your attention, without a required count, depth, or hold.

Brain-imaging research found distinct patterns when people attended to breathing versus visual information. That provides context for inward attention; the study did not test this particular breathing cue.

Farb, Segal & Anderson, 2013. Attentional modulation of primary interoceptive and exteroceptive cortices.

Pressure & choice

Fine-tune your own massage.

Your weight, hands, and position let you change the contact. You can feel where it lands and make the next small adjustment yourself.

Laboratory studies found that controlled deep pressure could feel pleasant and calming, and that choosing where a person was touched increased pleasantness. These findings concern pressure and choice; the experiments did not test floor rolling or self-massage.

Case et al., 2021. Pleasant deep pressure: Expanding the social touch hypothesis.Gorman et al., 2024. Choice enhances touch pleasantness.

Responsive movement

Stay with what feels good.

Twist gently. Explore a smaller roll or a little less weight. Linger, then let a changing sensation guide your next move or a rest.

In a crossover study of 31 adults, stretching to the first point of pain offered no additional immediate change in pressure-pain sensitivity over stretching to ordinary discomfort. More intensity was not more effective on that measure.

Støve et al., 2025. The effect of stretching intensity on pain sensitivity: A randomized crossover study on healthy adults.

Cannabis belongs in the experience.

It belongs to the whole Slow Yoga experience: cannabis, preparation, sensory management, movement, and self-massage. The practice developed around a slower, more body-aware experience. You still create the pressure, feel the result, and choose the next adjustment.

The studies above examine individual elements. They have not tested the complete Slow Yoga practice, Liquid Stretch, or the Slow Down Now gummy.

Slow Down Now · product in development

Formulated around an experience.

“This is what got me through. This is my comeback project.” The practice grew from the longer Liquid Stretch oil experience. Slow Down Now is the faster, nano-emulsified product in development. Two ways into the same preparation, sensory quiet, and body-led floor practice.

We are sharing the practice while the product is in development. The planned sample offer is simple: the sample, bottle, and packaging are on us; the recipient pays shipping. Sampling is not open on this page yet. Details and availability will follow where lawful.

The proposed product contains THC and CBD and is for adults. Its composition and directions are being finalized. Individual experiences differ; the comments below are personal accounts of an earlier product, not promised results.

The Slow Down Now recipe

The whole story, from plant to experience.

The working recipe begins with a slow-cooked, whole-plant infusion using organic ingredients where available. THC and CBD meet an oil carrier and lecithin; a touch of vanilla rounds it out. Medium- and long-chain oil versions have both been explored.

The food and the ritual are part of the story, too. The recipe developed through combinations of the oil with yogurt, whole milk, or a meal with some fat. Chicken fat was one example explored, not a required ingredient. A shower, comfortable clothes, and darkness with a blindfold or a dark room prepare the setting for the experience.

A nano version is being explored. The final product format, exact composition, and label directions will be stated when established. The example timeline above describes the practice; this section shares how the formula developed.

Their words

What practitioners are experiencing.

People describe settling in, stretching, and finding their own way into the experience. Slow Down Now is still in development.

“It was just a real relaxing day where I felt comfortable and I got a lot of things done.”
Fran A. · Vermont
“To my surprise, I got down on the floor and stretched. I did some simple yoga moves (ie cat-cow, child and baby pose) and even made up a few poses.”
Simone F. · Southern Vermont
“Took an hour and a half to feel it, then 2 hours beginning of peak. Which is exactly the same as Jared's nano works on me. Otherwise they differ in their effects. Yours has a medicinal body effect and my favorite high of all the types of edibles I've tried.”
Johny A. · Vermont
“I love you. This is more than I was expecting.”
Tim · Vermont
“Relaxation came to me very naturally, It was very gentle.”
Madelyn E. · Delray Beach, Florida

Our story · Carl Weiss

The practice that got me through.

“This is what got me through. This is my comeback project.”

For Carl Weiss, this began as a personal practice during a long, multi-year illness. The preparation, cannabis oil, quiet room, and time on the floor belonged together. This was the practice he returned to through those years.

It was time to get horizontal, let gravity do some of the work, and explore slow movement and self-massage. Rolling, twisting, lingering, resting—following what he could feel in his own body.

Now he is bringing that experience to others through Slow Yoga and the products that go with it. The longer oil experience came first. Slow Down Now, the nano-emulsified product, is the faster direction in development. The practice remains the heart of it: prepare for the experience, come down to the floor, and follow that feeling.
